Baby Avery | newborn {5 days old}

Sunday morning Josh and I went over to Mandy and Joe's to photograph baby Avery. She is just the sweetest little thing! When we got there, Josh got to feed her.


And the previous babies of the house, were kicked outside :(


I couldn't pick out a favorite, so here are several of my favorite shots!

Jennifer & Logan | engagement

On Saturday morning Josh and I drove down through Kentucky to meet with Jennifer and Logan. We're shooting their wedding in September and wanted to meet with them beforehand to get to know them and do an engagement session. We had a great time shooting at different locations all around their house and their family's farm, even though it kept raining! And they were troopers -- not afraid to get a little dirty when we asked them to climb up on a hay loft!

Taylor, Adam, & Barley | family

A couple weeks ago Josh posted some pictures of Tobey and Kosmo (our dogs) on Facebook and our friend Taylor asked if we could take some of her puppy, Barley. Of course, we said yes! So this past weekend we went to Taylor and Adam's house for a little photo shoot! There are two huge fields behind their house and it's just gorgeous! Great place for photos!

What I learned from this photo shoot is that photographing dogs is kind of like photographing kids --they make it interesting! But we got some great shots!










Thanks, Taylor! We had so much fun meeting Barley! Kosmo can't wait for a puppy playdate! :)

We wanted something that described both of us, and since we're endurance runners it seemed fitting. :)

Mandy & Joe | maternity

Last week I took some pictures of Josh's sister Mandy who is expecting baby Avery in August. It was my first maternity shoot and I had a blast! I'm pretty pleased with how the pictures turned out, too.

Emma, Abby, & Ian | children

I took pictures of Shelly's kids at the end of last week. We went to a cute little park... but it was filled with mosquitoes!

I was determined to get a good picture for her, even though it was slightly difficult to photograph three kids, 3 and under. I think they turned out pretty cute though!









I can't believe how big they are all getting... I remember going to the hospital to visit baby Ian. And now baby #4 is on the way! Can't wait to meet little Owen and take pictures of him too! (although 4 kids 4 and under may be even harder to photograph...we'll have to wait and see!)

Abby | children

Last week Abby (the sweet girl I nanny for, do I have the best job ever or what?!) and I braved the heat for a quick photo shoot! Once she got warmed up she was the perfect little model!
